We always hear so many tips and tricks to a healthy, organised and positive lifestyle but one that we always keep forgetting is the importance of a good night sleep! Having a good night sleep will not only make you feel better but will help you to take control of more areas in your daily lifestyle. This makes an immense impact on not only your productivity but your overall happiness, so if you want to make a change now is the best time to do so! 
It’s easier said than done, but this small change could be the start to reaching all those big goals and dreams you had for 2021. Start by making a simple switch to your night-time routine and finding what helps you to wind down after a long day. 
Never fear, the Hello Molly Team is here! We have come up with a few different ways to help you wind down to begin your journey on a better, longer good night's sleep! Take a look, maybe you'll find a tip, or two! 
Sleeping Apps: Headspace, Bloom, Calm 
Studies show that meditation and sleep related apps can be the key to helping you switch off your brain from word-mode to chill-mode. Working long hours can definitely be draining to your mind and this can make it almost impossible to switch off and fall asleep. Some of our Hello Molly staff swear by these app’s and say they hop on it for only 10 minutes before bed and they're out like a light! 
Tea: Camomile, Honey &  Vanilla, Peppermint
Studies have also shown that having the right tea before bed can help you settle down. Although you shouldn’t have it right before you sleep or you’ll be running to the toilet, tea’s such as camomile are types of ingredients that help you calm and de-stress. As for tea’s like peppermint, this can settle your tummy if you're having an off day! Exactly what you need!  
Eye Mask: Eliminate All Light 
Everyone is different, but for most eliminating light and creating a super dark space can help you get into a more ‘sleep-time’ zone. If you feel as if you're up all night and caught staring at that little speck of light in your room, try an eye-mask! 
Night-Time Skin Ritual 
We all love a day spa and pamper session, because we feel relaxed and rejuvenated! Getting into the habit of a face mask, or putting on a serum or oil could be the start to a relaxing ‘at home pamper session’ which will get you in an ultra relax mode. De-brief and de-stress, and grab a glass of red while you're pampering (this could help you fall asleep as well)! 
Switch Off Your Phone
Most of the time, we are up all night because of one reason. OUR PHONES. If it’s getting stuck on Netflix or TikTok or aimlessly scrolling and consuming nothing, our phone is the biggest problem to unwinding. We understand that turning off your phone may not be an option in case of emergencies, but our top tip would be to use the ‘Do Not Disturb’ feature on your iPhone. This will eliminate any notifications, noises or vibrating throughout the night until you wake up. If you are still tempted with it next to you, leave it in another room. Trust us! 
Taking more time and care into your night-time routine could be the answer to your restless nights and zombie mornings!
