Keeping Up With NYFW

Another season, another fashion week and a whole lot of reasons to update your wardrobe. Fashion week (or should we say month?) kicked off in New York this week and there was plenty to see and lots to love. We saw bold florals, striking stripes, lots of delicate sheer pieces and dozens of street style snaps to add to our inspo board. We’ve decided to keep you busy babes updated with the most exciting things from fashion week so stay tuned for our weekly updates.

Here’s what you missed from week 1:

-       Gigi looked like a bohemian Cinderella while strutting her stuff at Anna Sui and in true Cinderella fashion, she lost one of her heels on the runway. Her prince charming Zayn wasn’t anywhere to be found but her baby sister Bella gave her a helping hand.

-       Rihanna’s doing WAY too much and we love it. The bad gal has been doing lots of good things recently – she launched Fenty beauty and we can’t wait to get our hands on one of her blinding highlighters and she also presented her latest FENTY x PUMA collaboration. She also looked like a mega babe while doing it and if you missed it, you can read all about how you can steal her style here.

-       Kim K made a return to the front row after what feels like FOREVER (seriously, where’ve you been, Kimmy?) and she looked AMAZING. Maybe it’s true what they say, absence does make the heart grow fonder.

-       TEYANA TAYLOR IS EVERYTHING! We think Teyana’s body deserves its own blog post because… WOW. She opened for The Blonds NY, closed for GCDS and danced on the runway at Philip Plein while Future performed Mask Off and we’re still trying hard to pick up our jaws from the floor.

This just in: stripes are trending! We saw plenty of stripes at Victoria Beckham, Monse and Jason Wu and we’re all for it. Stripes are playful, fun and super flattering! The best way to wear stripes is to pair them with something basic so they stand out. Or, if you love being extra, you can make a statement by wearing double prints.
