How To Celebrate The 2020 Racing Season At Home

The Racing Season is upon us babe, and just because we're still stuck in semi-isolation, doesn't mean you can't celebrate in your most fabulous outfit and back a winner or three!

As per government laws, majority of racing events across Australia will be ticketed to adhere to social distancing regulations. This shouldn't stop you from grabbing your girls and watching your favourite race at home! The Australian Turf Club in fact has a detailed Covid-19 safety guide for those who can't attend to the races this year.

Here's how you can enjoy a raceday from the comfort of home!

Where to watch the races

No need to miss the racing action! If you're in NSW's, events will be broadcasted live on Sky Racing 1 through foxtel or Channel 526. Or, you can always tine in via the TAB App.

What to wear

Any excuse to get dressed up right? Get out of your loungewer and get your glam on in your finest pastel pink pantsuit to a beautifully tailored, or floral dress, don't be afraid to dress up and stay in for a day in front of the races! Depending on what race you're watching, hold a best-dressed contest among your besties and award them with the finest bottle of bubbly you can offer! Don’t forget to share your raceday look with the Australian Turf Club on social media using the #FunOffTrack tag.

What to eat

Put together a yummy charcuterie board or spread of what you already have. We suggest mixing your fave cheeses, cured meats then add snacks like grapes, dates, vegetables or crackers. It you wanna be fancy, make up mini brioche burgers or mozarella sticks!

What to drink

What else is there to drink but sharing a bottle of Moët & Chandon! Alternatively, you can always mix up a cocktail with Australian Turf Club's signature Schweppes soft drink.

What to do between races

Keep things spicy by running a sweepstake with your friends; split the prize moey for the first, second, third and last or the winner takes all.

Staying social

Be sure to post your photos of you celebrating the races from home to Instagram, Facebook or Twitter tagging @atc_races with #FunOffTrack. Stay safe, stay social and stay tuned!
